SERVICE IS POWER.
We are excited to partner with Children's Hospital of Alabama as our way of giving back to the local community in Birmingham! Below you will find a link to the wish list for the hospital. We are encouraging all chapters and conference attendees to consider making a purchase for donations to send to Children's Hospital!

CHAPTER PHILANTHROPY COMPETITION
Phi Eta Sigma is excited to announce our Philanthropy Competition in conjunction with the National Convention!! Chapters can bring book donations, stuffed animal donations, and monetary donations to be counted for the competition or sent to the National Office before the event. We have also partnered with Children’s of Alabama and any items purchased from their wish list will also be counted in your chapter total with proof of receipt. The chapter that raises the most will win $500 towards chapter programming in addition to being recognized in the Forum and at our 2022 Awards Luncheon!
Each book and stuffed animal donation will count as a monetary donation in your chapter’s total. Paperback books will count as $2, and hardbacks and stuffed animals count as $5. You can choose to bring the items with you in person to the Convention or mail them to the National Office before the week of the Convention.

2ND ANNUAL 5K FOR $10K
BENEFITTING THE IMAGINATION LIBRARY
During the months of September and October 2021, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society asked members, alumni, family, and friends to participate in the Inaugural 5K for $10K Run for Reading Benefitting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The 5K Run portion of the event could be completed by participants between October 14-28, but fundraising began earlier on September 8.
There were a total of 223 individual participants who signed up for the 5K representing 40 different Phi Eta Sigma chapters across 30 states + the District of Columbia. As a result, Phi Eta Sigma is pleased to announce that a donation of $12,671 will be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
This year, we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting this event again, and it will kick off on Sunday morning of the convention with a "fun run" around Birmingham! There will be more details and information to come, but we hope you will get excited and ready to participate this year!
